“Let them alone; they are blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into a pit.”
The Parable Of The Blind Leading The Blind is a parable told by Jesus Christ in The Bible fundamentally concerning spirituality. However, it encompasses all kinds of paradoxical questionable behaviour of today’s ignorant mass. Ignorance is bliss they say, but certainly not at the cost of an exploited situation of life. Turn around, what do you see? The blind continues to lead the blind and the blind continues to follow the blind.
First and foremost, Why has religion blinded so many people? We need to continually put our trust in God, not in man. This is not to minimize the importance of good, God-led spiritual leaders, teachers and role models but we have to remember to ask God to continually give us wisdom as well as spiritual discernment, so that we do not just follow anybody blindly that claims to be on the right path. Movies like PK and Oh My God! are wonderful examples for the blind to wake up to reality. For once give a Ranbir Kapoor flick a miss to be enlightened for good ( Oh yeah! PK is so much better than Roy).
Why are we too blind to see politicians are cheating on us? It was so shocking to see people celebrating the bail of former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Jayalalitha back in October 2014 even after the disclosure of her mean crimes. What is it about the corrupt and communal politicos that causes a blind spot in the eyes of the masses? Let us grow for the democracy is by the people, to the people and for the people.
Why do we blindly follow celebs? Why do we blindly follow our peers? Why do we blindly follow the opulent?
What is the outcome of this dopey, dim-witted attitude of the chowder headed? BAM! You are in the ditch before you realise you have been bamboozled.
To cut a long story short, Be educated! Be aware! Be wise and love, hope and dream!
Forever and ever,
