Skincare For 20 Something

If you are like most 20-somethings, hormones have settled and puberty-driven blemishes have subsided. But now you have a new set of skincare concerns in your 20s: everything from unexpected adult breakouts / blemishes to the early signs of ageing skin all caused due to poor nutrition, stress and lack of sleep. With a few simple steps, however, you will have no problem keeping your skin beautiful and glowing. Once you have crossed 23 you must stick to a beauty regimen to look youthful for years to come.

Cleanse. Cleanse your face twice daily to remove excess oil, dirt and make-up. If you are too lazy to wash your face before bed time then always keep a pack of makeup remover wipes handy. They are more than enough for cleansing your skin.

Exfoliate. By sloughing away skin with an exfoliating cleanser or device, you are actually removing a layer of dead skin that would otherwise clog your pores. Exfoliating is an excellent way to prevent breakouts as it keeps skin looking radiant by increasing surface cell turnover. St.Ives apricot scrub is what I would recommend to you but always remember that exfoliation must be done twice a month only.

Moisturize. After cleansing, apply a moisturiser that contains a broad spectrum SPF of at least 15. And do not forget the moisturiser at night. Take the time to hydrate by applying a moisturiser with key ingredients like aloe, vitamins E, B3 and pro-vitamin B5 that help keep your skin supple and radiant.Also, don’t forget to focus on your eyes because they need most of the attention. By hydrating the thin skin under your eyes, you will help relieve puffiness and dark circles and prevent future fine lines.  The best natural moisturiser for our skin would be pure olive oil. Stock it up in your pantry and massage into your skin every night.

Quick Tip: Wear your sunglasses when you go out coz squinting in the sunlight causes wrinkles around eyes.
